Andrea Andgelini - Italy


One of the greatest world authorities of Western European music of the old masters and the Renaissance. Artistic director and conductor of the professional vocal group "Musica Ficta", a long-time conductor of the choir "Carla Amori", director of the choir "Alessandro Grandi" in Rimini. He has performed with the Belarusian "National Chappela Choir", the Lithuanian choir "Jauna Muzika", the Latvian choir "Ave Sol", the Ukrainian choir "Ave Muzika" and the New Zealand choir "Tudor Consort".
Dr. Andgelini is the artistic director of the choral festival "Voci nei Chiostri" which is held every spring in Rimini, artistic director and one of the instructors in the international choral workshop in Rimini where he teaches with Peter Phillips from “Tallis Scholars”, artistic director of the Rimini International Choir Competition, the Queen of the Adriatic Sea Choral Festival and Competition and the Liviu Borlan Choral Festival. He has conducted a master class for the “Venetian Renaissance choral music” at the prestigious “Liszt Music Academy” in Budapest and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). He has held similar workshops in Romania, Russia, Belarus and China. He is the Editor of the International Choral Bulletin (ICB), the membership magazine of the IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music) and he has written numerous transcriptions and arrangements for choirs and choral ensembles. Andgelini is a regula member of the jury of many international choir competitions in Europe and Asia.
